The Project

This NY based Microscope Company came to us as a well-known provider in their industry. Their reputation fueled some online sales but they were losing revenue to competitors who had better rankings and more user-friendly websites. After hiring several SEO companies, with no success, they requested a consultation on a solid strategy. 

We first analyzed the flow of the website and uncovered that navigation from product search to checkout was confusing.

The Design ME SEO Team found thousands of crawl errors within the site that prohibited proper indexing (Other companies were performing SEO without acknowledging this).

We constructed a new website and proceeded with on-page and off-page SEO efforts. Along with organic traffic, we developed a successful Google Adwords campaign and managed all facets of the ongoing efforts for an 18 month period.

The Results

The PPC campaign was centered around specific, high-profit products. This accounted for approximately 10% of their online inventory of over 10,000 SKUs. A 40% increase in the sale of those parts and accessories were reported. 

Over a period of just over 2 years, they outranked the competition for many of the keywords that are important to their industry. As of May 2017, 73 keywords ranked in the top 3 spots on Google, 161 in the top 10 and over 2000 keywords ranked on Search Engines.

In June 2016 the company was averaging 6,000 hits from Organic Traffic. In of May 2017 Organic hits to the site landed at 24,724. The new website offered much smoother navigation which drives visitor engagement and conversion. In May 2017, the site’s page views exceeded 69,000.
